about me
I spent years auditioning for the role of Ms Perfect! Giving up trying to be all things to all people let me settle into – imperfect – me. Being me means no need to be botoxed, hot, a diva, an expert, a genius or earn millions – the people I love and work with fuel me. So does chocolate sometimes …
Experiences (there’re unused Paris Métro tickets stashed in my handbag next to my passport) ignite me more than things. Like two recent years working with Pitjantjatjara women in remote Australia. But separate me from my Mac, a tiny bottle of Trevi fountain water, the ‘love you Mum’ notes from my grownup daughter, or my favourite tattered walking shoes and you’re in for a tussle.
Life unwraps and feeds me every day – there’s beauty in the smallest thing, the slightest glance. I need dewy mornings, wind-ruffled trees, sandy feet, moonrises, oud music, the smell of line-dried sheets, mesmerising art, books by the bed, cups of tchai from loving hands, and cricket song on summer nights.
And I light up when I’m with kind, funny, straight-talking people. Imaginative, genuine people with engaged hearts and minds who want a better, socially just, environmentally cared-for, free world. Who value bigger picture thinking that’s about much more than simply their personal comfort.
There’s wisdom, patience and knowing that come with being a fifty-something woman – I love being a me I really like living in, and the freedom of dancing to my own tune in a bigger, more fluid picture.
I’ve lived and learned from a slew of experiences, from shadowy valleys to rosy peaks, and remained a very curious life traveller. My work’s changed as I’ve grown (work and life history here) and I’m now at my best as an intuitive skilled inspirer, teacher, life-pattern sleuth and change agent (more here).
Soaking up the world’s wisdom has shown me so many ways of guiding and giving meaning to life. Ways that join us with the power of this dazzling cosmos. And I live them – don’t just know about them.
I’ve mapped my own patterns via that wisdom, developed wayfinding practices. I’ve made peace with my ‘stuff’, friends with my fears, and reimagined my way into a freer, more wholehearted life. And now my pleasure is finding the best ways to help take you where you want to go, for a life that really works for you.
Love,
